Minecraft Lantern
A lantern from the Minecraft universe, designed for 3D printing and turned into a rechargeable lamp that can be placed anywhere.
The complete process
How I made a lamp straight out of Minecraft
In the video I show the design, printing and assembly of all the internal electronics.
Why I made it
I wanted it to look like an in-game block when it lit up
The key was to achieve a warm, even light without losing the lantern's pixelated shape.
I designed this lantern from scratch so that any Minecraft fan would recognise it immediately. I separated the structure by colour and created translucent sides so the light would spread evenly across all four faces.
Inside I placed the LEDs, battery and USB-C charging module. This means it does not depend on a cable to stay on and can be used as decoration on a desk, shelf or in a gaming room.
